5 minutes with Mary ...

Tell us a little about you I started following Jesus in 1972 while a journalist for The Courier Mail. I moved overseas in 1977 living in China, the USA, the UK for a little under 30 years. I returned to Australia in 2005. I love being among the nations. I love study. I love encouraging the coming generations.

What's your favourite bible passage & why?

Genesis 1-3 and John 19-20. Understood well in their cultural and literary context they are radical challenges to a fallen status quo. They are simply brilliant pieces of revelation - simply astounding.

How do you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus?

I seek to encounter every person as potentially imaging Jesus and I read a huge amount.

What would you like the next generation of Christian women to know?

That Jesus reversed the patriarchy of the Fall. He sent a woman to be the first witness to his resurrection, to New Creation. John 20 simply is astounding.

What's one thing that you love about your local church? We are in the middle of 65 nationalities in this suburb.

What are you passionate about? Kingdom witness, good biblical theology and Trinitarian theology and how does it relate to everyday life.

What do you enjoy doing when you rest? Reading.
